November 16, 2009: Today, Pheng Ya joined the TLC-1 team. Ya is our new midwife.
Her home is in Kompong Khleang, where she lives with her husband, a thirteen year old son and an eight year old daughter. Ya graduated from the Battambang Regional Nursing School as a midwife in 1997. Prior to working with TLC, she worked for 5 years for the Capacity Building and Health Education Program (CBHEP) of AHC in Siem Reap.
